PUEBLO OR COLORADO SPRINGS

I often receive comments that the Pueblo Corinthians are the same as the previous PSSA /Pueblo Soccer. THEY ARE NOT! PSSA/Pueblo Soccer was registered with Colorado Youth Soccer as a Pueblo soccer club and was under the 501c3 of the Belmont Optimist Club of Pueblo. There is no Pueblo Corinthians registered with Colorado Youth soccer https://www.coyouthsoccer.org/club_links.html. They are under the 501c3 of the Corinthians Athletic Club of Colorado Springs and have a Pueblo office http://www.corinthianssoccer.com/clubs/522/pages/20597.
THEY ARE A COLORADO SPRINGS ORGANIZATION WITH A PUEBLO BRANCH.

On the other hand, the Pueblo Rangers Soccer Club is a Pueblo organization with its own 501c3 and are registered with Colorado Youth Soccer as a state soccer club https://www.coyouthsoccer.org/club_links.html. We are managed by Puebloans, staffed by Puebloans and our only office is in Pueblo. We are proud members of both the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce http://www.pueblochamber.org/content/business-directory and the Pueblo Latino Chamber of Commerce http://pueblolatinochamber.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_view&gid=1&tmpl=component&format=raw&Itemid=14 . Each February, we bring the largest 2 day event to Pueblo each year, The Pueblo Rangers Sunbelt Classic Soccer Tournament, which brings in millions of dollars to the Pueblo economy.

I am not implying that the Corinthians is not a good organization but let’s be accurate and honest.

THE CORINTHIANS SOCCER CLUB IS A COLORADO SPRINGS ORGANIZATION THAT HAS A SATELLITE PROGRAM IN PUEBLO OFFERING SOCCER TO A SMALL GROUP OF PUEBLO CHILDREN.

The CORINTHIANS may be a branch of a Colorado Springs club, But Pueblo has its offices ran by Locals out of pueblo, Kerry Maas is the Director of Pueblo club. All the money that comes in to Pueblo by Pueblo Soccer players stays in pueblo.
The two clubs is great for Pueblo and should be able to co-exist with great benefits to all kids in Pueblo. Not everyone will be happy to play with the Corinthians and same goes for the ranges. They need option, and the most importaint thing is that both clubs try to get kids more involved in soccer. Their should not be a negative war going on with the clubs, there should only be a positive attitude with the clubs.
I came from a city where there was several rec clubs and the all played against one another. That kept people into soccer and attracted more kids.
So Rangers please keep the negative adds and comments out and lets try to keep things positive.

I am the Director of Coaching Pueblo Corinthians, Kerry E. Maas, so if you feel compelled to post negative comments about my club post them directly to me...I am an adult and I can readily accept any negative comments you may have but leave our kids (players) and our club staff out of it...I will also be more than happy to openly discuss any issues you may have with me or any member of our club. The days of Rangers dominance and intimidation are over...I will not step back, I will address it head on without hesistation. Respect our club, players, and boundries as we do yours. We are not here to create controversy with the Rangers, we are here to offer the fine city of Pueblo another option for the kids of Pueblo...both clubs are here for the kids and that's where the focus should be. It's a waste of time and energy, both of which I have very little of because I am involved with players, being so overly consumed by the actions of the other club...personally I would prefer to spend my time constructively and with positive interaction with my players and club. As I stated if you all feel so compelled to post negative comments about the Pueblo Corinthians my name is Kerry E. Maas, Director of Coaching Pueblo Corinthians...feel free to use that name in your blogs but leave my club members, staff, parents, etc...out of it

I am unsure of what negative comments you are referring to. Please give examples of what you feel are negative or inaccurate and I will address your comments.

All I have to say is go to a high school game and see who the better players on the field were trained by and then tell me corinthians is not a joke. As a coach for the Pueblo Rangers I have naver lost a game to the corinthians with boy or girls. I have coached against them more than a dozen times in league and tournaments and could have beat them worse than we did every time and some of thoes time I'm talking double digits. Go back to Springs and be the third club there like you always have been.

Thank you for the acknowledgement...I am not about controversy or belittlement of others especially within our own city. Collectively we have superior athletes in Pueblo who will go on to be quite successful. The Ranger's coach mentioned (the quote came verbatim from the Ranger's blog)is, in my opinion, inappropriate and demoralizing to the kids we work with. A man of this character is not a person I would entrust to be a coach or role model within our club...a coach needs to respect others and NEVER belittle or disparage the youth of our community regardless of club affiliation. It shows lack of moral aptitude and ethics of a mere cretin...neither of which are acceptable to work with kids. I harbor no ill feelings towards the Ranger organization; I know several members (coaches, parents, supporters) of your club and feel I have a good rapport with them on and off the pitch. We are not a large community so collectively we need to rise above the animosity within to show the state we are a community that demands respect on the pitch...not viewed as a community of divisiveness; we need to change the image of Pueblo Soccer to a positive cohesive community and excel.

As usual the comments above are rambling and inaccurate. We are still THE PUEBLO RANGERS SOCCER CLUB. I have no idea what he is talking about when he states that he cannot use our name because of the Secretary of State. Although our club, like all others in CYS, are governed by CYS rules, we are still administered by our local board of directors. We do not have any Denver officers. As far as our financial resources they are obtained locally and legally. If he has information to the contrary, that should be addressed with Colorado Youth Soccer.

I apologize for the post...I did not author nor post the comment. My laptop was left unattended for several hours and I find myself now cleaning up a myriad of problems created during this time. The person(s) that may have been involved have limited knowledge and maturity rendering them socially inept and ignorant. I assure you as of this point on there will never be a negative or disparaging comment directed toward the Ranger organization, staff, or players posted from my account authored by me.
